Week Ending 6th November At the end of this week I finally got back to the storytelling computer after 5 weeks (damn that was one long break). It was not as hard as I had feared it would be. Enjoying the new twists of the story as they have been coming up. Outside of storytelling I’ve been learning craft, business, and epic life skills. Thursday & Friday Spent time working on the publishing...

Momentum

M

Right now I’m struggling.

The reason why is momentum.

Ages ago I heard the following:

The scariest thing is momentum, or a lack of it.?

Right now I’m struggling to build my momentum back up to where it was all those long weeks ago. It doesn’t help my eye is playing up a bit either. But a true hero wouldn’t let this hold them back—so I won’t either.

Onwards!

Week Ending 30th October A day late this week, sorry. No real proper reason why. Things are still not fully settled here. My eye is feeling much better, my kids are back to school, but my wife is still off. This means I’ve got more structure than the last couple of weeks but still not enough to do storytelling. Instead I spent the time uploading a new story (and firefighting all the issues...

Energy Builders

E

Last week I talked about how energy is important. For me there are a few key things which seem to help energise me. Sleep If you really don’t know but having the correct amount of sleep is maybe one of the most important things you can do to energise yourself. That means about seven to eight hours a night. For me it’s less per night as I have a nap early afternoon. Part of that is because I work...

Week Ending 23rd October

No storytelling this week. Spending time on my computers for any real length of time played havoc on my eyes.

However I’ve been consuming stories though.

And getting my first title, told earlier this year, ready to be published.

Energy

E

A quick thought for you today. It’s energy and not time that’s the core of productivity. Think about it we all have the same 24 hours in a day but it’s how we use those hours that makes the difference. If you’re highly energised you can do much more than if you’re plodding through the day just trying to survive. At this moment I’m struggling to do as much as I was before my operation. Part of...

Week Ending 16th October An eye operation on Monday is going to knock me out for a while. Just spending an hour checking my Essential Points of Contact on my computer (and typing this) is making my eye sore. This week I did do get to do some storytelling: but I doubt no one will ever get to read it. Friday Today I was creating the Origin Story for my Alter Ego. So being a storyteller I went full...

Mentors

M

The topic of Mentors and where you learn your information from is a constant theme running around my head. It may seem like it’s simple as just picking any old book, or course, up and just consume the information from start to end. But is that all there is to it? No. There is much more than that. 1 The first thing to look at is what it is you’re going to learn. There’s not much point reading a...

Week Ending 9th October

This week followed on from last week’s theme of internal housekeeping tasks.

That means no storytelling this week.

Next week I’ll be having an operation on my eyes so it’ll be likely no storytelling then either.
